Liminal Waters
Water, Conflict, and Eco-Critical Imaginaries
The third axis operates at a transversal and reflexive level of the Liminal Waters project through the work of Oksana Chepelyk, which interrogates the relationships between waterways, hydraulic infrastructures, and contemporary conflicts, particularly in the Ukrainian context. Her artistic and theoretical approach mobilises an eco-critical perspective to analyse water as a liminal space—simultaneously border, strategic resource, and vulnerable infrastructure—thus contributing to a broader reflection on the geopolitical, memorial, and conflictual dimensions of contemporary hydrological landscapes.
